Labeling & Packaging Coordinator

UA Global Sourcing Limited

This position will be Global Labeling & Packaging (GL&P) teams’ point of contact in region between Tier 1 vendors and Tier 2 packaging suppliers for all divisions (Apparel, Accessories and Footwear). He/she will monitor the GL&P inbox and answer/resolve any packaging and labeling related concerns from the vendors to avoid ex-factory delays. In addition, he/she will manage and track packaging and labeling costs, lead times and provide summaries to the team and identify cost saving opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing production and sourcing expectations between factories and packaging suppliers
  • Working with HQ Team to monitor and ensure buy ready deadlines
  • Track and manage final packaging costs and lead times
  • Co-ordinate various packaging tests between Factories and packaging suppliers, verify GB compliance on packaging
  • Interact with packaging suppliers on status of various packaging parts, approve packaging parts in Armoury or Centric
  • Follow current GL&P processes and will evaluate them to ensure efficiency, create and set new processes in place with respect to compliance labeling
  • Deal with data related issues on UPC/RFID labels and will also have to deal with packaging parts not being buy ready due to late adds and various other circumstances
  • Support the team through providing support on key decisions as well as share best practices across all divisions and regions.  The role will also train and support any new hires on the team in region

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years’ Supply Chain related experience
  • Prior experience in Printing, Packaging and Labeling industry preferred
  • Retail industry and fast paced background preferred
  • Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in collaborating between Home Office GL&P Team, Sourcing and Production Team
  • Interact and communication with our T1s, T2s, Production, Planning, QA and Home Office GL&P team regarding outstanding labeling and packaging issues
  • Ability to deal with vendors from a variety of countries and cultures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Good communication skills, written and oral, in Mandarin and English
