Job Description – 

The role will act under the technical supervision of the General Counsel Asia Pacific and will be in charge of the following duties:-

  • Provide administrative support in company secretarial work, general corporate commercial work and contentious matters;
  • Ensure the proper execution of documents and dispatching of signed contracts and corporate documents of the Company or any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, etc;
  • Ensure the proper filing of any legal document, update and implement physical archives and soft copies archives in a timely and orderly manner;
  • Maintain diaries and agendas of various tasks, deadlines and pending matters relating to the legal activity of the Company and of the TOD’S Group in the Asia Pacific region;
  • Prepare summary recaps, excel files, charts and other summaries of lease agreements, commercial contracts, company secretarial matters, contentious matters, as and when instructed;
  • Support in drafting, reviewing, amending, proofreading, translating from Chinese into English and/or from English into Chinese as and when instructed, all type of documentation, formal letters and any other legal document;
  • Liaise with any other department/function of the Company and/or of other companies belonging the “Tod’s Group", for the collection of relevant information or the discussion of documents’ drafts and legal matters and for the correct and complete discharge of the assigned legal tasks, as instructed by the General Counsel Asia Pacific from time to time;
  • Liaise with and attend to local government bodies, institutions, authorities, courts or any third party in order to obtain/exchange information/documents related to the activities of the Company and having legal implications of whatsoever nature, as and when instructed;

Job Requirements - 

  • Diploma or Degree holder. Holder of Certificate in Legal Studies or above is preferred;
  • At least 3- 4 years of relevant experience either in law firm, in-house within multinational companies or equivalent organizations. Working experience in law firm is preferred;
  • Previous experience in handling lease agreements, commercial documents and corporate governance matters and/or contentious matters might be an advantage;
  • Previous experience in legal translations might be an advantage;
  • Hardworking, able to work under pressure and with high intrinsic motivation;
  • Mature, accurate, detail oriented, responsible and reliable, respectful of deadlines and time constraints;
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and good interpersonal and communication skills are required;
  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Applications.
