Legal Manager/Legal Counsel

  • Possess a degree or diploma in legal or related studies
  • Minimum of 3 years of solid corporate and commercial transactional
experience (e.g. mergers and acquisitions, asset-based financing
transactions, private equity investments, etc.) and/or company
secretarial experience within the legal, professional services
private equity or investment management field
  • Fluent in English and be able to comprehend, advise on, draft and
negotiate legal documentation
  • A self-starter who is able to take full ownership of projects, solve
problems and deliver high quality results with minimum guidance under
high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to work in a "small company" environment, both independently
and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and
  • Possess strong business acumen
  • Preference Towards (Not Required)
  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • Qualified lawyer in at least one common law jurisdiction or a
qualified PRC lawyer with prior experience in common law
jurisdiction(s) and/or international/reputable law firm(s) or
professional services firm(s) or in-house legal department
  • Prior experience in transportation, logistics, financial services
leasing, entertainment or other related industries

Job Duties:
  • Reporting to the General Counsel, the incumbent will manage and
monitor transaction structuring, execution and closing processes in a
wide variety of corporate and commercial transactions, review, advise
on and negotiate transaction documents, liaise with transaction
counterparties, external legal counsel and other advisors, maintain
transaction records, handle company secretarial and compliance matters
conduct legal research and provide general support to the in-house
legal team
