Duties: The appointee is responsible for providing financial projections, analytics and supporting in all matters regarding the immediate and long-term funding issues of the Authority, including but not limited to researching on various financial models for internal and external reference, with the objectives of supporting the formulation of viable options of funding model , establishing and enhancing financial governance for the use of funds and prepare reports/ documents as the Authority, the Government and other related organisations require in relation to the funding and public accountability issues of the Authority’s financial management.
(a) A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration;
(b) A member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants or other recognized professional accountancy bodies;
(c) At least 8 years’ working experience and with at least 6 years’ in a supervisory/ managerial role, preferably with experience in financial analysis and forecasting;
(d) Knowledge of managing public funds in a public sector context will be an advantage;
(e) Strong knowledge in the areas of finance and accounting;
(f) Good communication skills with proficiency in both Chinese and English;
(g) Able to work independently and meet tight timelines; and
(h) Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office applications, accounting applications, financial management software, etc.
Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
