Manager – IT Product Support (Finance Information System)

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes, manages and monitors technical activities to meet client / user needs; Communicates effectively with the team to resolve conflicts and/or troubleshoot as required; Escalates issues as needed.
  • Oversees and reviews all technical activities of product support team and ensuring that appropriate procedures and processes are followed.
  • Recommends and leads process improvements where improvements can be made to increase efficiency.
  • Ensures all relevant implementation, support, and change management processes are adhered to (i.e. Software Development Lifecycle and Change Management).
  • Delivers service reports management summary.
  • Communicates with internal users of the support process.
  • Ensures all relevant implementation, support, and change management processes are adhered to (i.e. Software Development Lifecycle and Change Management).
  • Manages employees as direct reports and has full authority for people management including: Assigning, directing, and evaluating work; Forecasting staffing needs and creating staffing plans and schedules; Hiring, disciplining and firing employees; Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions; Approving salary and bonus actions; Ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with maintaining a network environment, delegating tasks or responsibilities to coworkers to maintain timely completion of tasks, and be able to train interns or new hires on delivering support to end users
  • A self-motivated person with exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal and organization skills
