Manager / Assistant Manager - Client Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and working with a small team to provide professional accounting services to a portfolio of client companies
  • Hands-on tasks on bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, cash flow statement, group consolidation, and financial reporting tasks in general
  • Manage quality and deadline on client assignments
  • Maintain client relationship and participate in business development initiatives
  • Coach and develop junior team members
  • Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision
  • Be committed to act with the firm's core values and competency expectation

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting or equivalent
  • Professional qualification such as HKICPA member or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience of which 2 years at supervisory level
  • Hands-on accounting experience, including use of common accounting applications, for at least 2 years. Experience gained from client accounting services is a definite asset
  • Around 2 years of audit experience with ability to prepare statutory financial statements independently
  • Experience in preparing consolidated accounts is preferable
  • Multi-tasking and willing to handle assignments at operational level
  • Mature, outgoing, technically sound, well-organized, self-motivated and be able to work under pressure
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required, proficiency in Mandarin is definitely an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be passionate for providing exceptional quality service and striving for exceeding clients’ expectations
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Manager
