Manager / Assistant Vice President, Credit Risk

  • Develop and maintain credit strategy for retail and SME lending and manage the implementation
  • Assist in formulating, reviewing and updating credit policies, guidelines and procedures to regulate the credit activities undertaken by the bank
  • Review and approve applications relating to both retail and SME loans in compliance with the guidelines and procedures
  • Support the post-lending activities including but not limited to credit review and recovery
  • Prepare regular MIS reports to monitor on asset quality and perform data analysis where required
  • Participate in credit program and workflow design, system enhancement and project implementation
  • Collaborate with different functional units to manage and support ad-hoc credit risk tasks or projects and as assigned


  • University graduate in Risk Management, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Holder of CFA, CPA or ECF-CRM is preferred
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in credit risk management function, preferably with knowledge of retail or SME lending products
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and banking practices on credit risk management
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with strong risk control sense, ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Good communication, negotiation and business writing skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge on data analysis using programming tools, for examples, SAS and SQL is a plus
