Manager, Card Centre- Application & Production

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Card Centre through established working procedures, production and quality standards and security and statutory requirements for the achievement of production efficiency

  • Monitor daily operations of card production including card application, personalisation, inventory management and quality control of various types of Octopus cards

  • Review workflow processes and prepare effective production and control plans in card production and ensure compliant to statutory and audit requirements

  • Liaise with service providers, suppliers and contractors to ensure procurement of cards and other consumable items being done timely and cost effectively

  • Assist the preparation and collation of data for routine management information, ad hoc reports and projects

  • Review and streamline existing operating process and policies to enhance efficiency, productivity and control

  • Liaise with key members of internal departments and external parties including card suppliers, service providers, regulatory bodies and law enforcement teams

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and business partners to continuously improve and enhance the process for better efficiency and higher customer satisfaction

  • Lead a team to implement projects for new product, operation efficiency and cost control, and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality deliverables by performing user acceptance tests and verification tests

  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for management review

  • Review daily control reports to ensure that all exception cases are handled promptly

  • Manage, lead and train team members to upskill the knowledge according to the job needs and succession planning.


  • Bachelor degree in business management or related disciplines 

  • At least 8 years operation experience with 3 years working at managerial level; preferably card embossing and production in credit card or other payment card business.

  • Good knowledge of HKMA Supervisory Skills and AML

  • Experience in managing project implementation and knowledge of system development cycle for setting out user requirements and execution of user acceptance tests is preferred.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead the team to achieve KPI; able to work under pressure.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua.

  • Good numerical sense, logical and analytical skills.

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.
