Role Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with rest of group functions, direct and support country business and credit teams to implement agreed strategies related to the processes owned by Credit Management Information and Forecasting Team.


  • Support all related credit management information processes where MIF is the identified first line process owner. Ensure effective management of operational risks within MIF and compliance with applicable internal policies and standards, external laws and regulations.
  • Lead the credit bureau team and manage the end-to-end credit bureau process of the Bank including Consumer Credit Data and Commercial Credit Data as MIF team is the process owner to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards and the local regulatory requirement, including HKMA SPM IC-6, HKMA SPM IC-7 and Code of Consumer Credit Data.
  • Be the subject matter expert in dealing with issues arising from credit bureau process (both consumer and commercial credit bureau) and provide advice and guidance to Business / Function.
  • Lead all the credit bureau related initiative, enhancement and projects of the Bank with close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Credit Information Management Solution (CIMS) to ensure the data aggregation logics, critical data element and the key definitions for CPBB Risk (in consultation with key stakeholders) are maintained.
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of risk management processes, including process revamp and automation initiative, etc.
  • Be the Champion and Lead all the CPBB Risk related projects and new initiatives, such as Multiple Credit Reference Agencies (MCRA), project keystones, etc.

Risk Management

  • Maintain a good understanding of the requirements on credit risk management data of key external stakeholders in respect of credit risk management and ensure these are well understood internally and reflected in internal procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance of regulatory requirements and internal policies in relation to the use and sharing of credit data, including SPM IC-6, IC-7 and the Code of Sharing and Use of Credit Data.
  • Uphold the high quality of credit risk information by implementing adequate controls to ensure quality of information, enabling timely and accurate credit risk management.
  • Maintain an excellent project management skills and stakeholder management with both internal/external stakeholders to ensure all the project timelines (both internal / external) are delivered within the stipulated (or regulatory timeline).

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor / Advanced degree holder in Mathematics / Statistics or Computer Science / Engineering.
  • 10 years of functional risk management experience in Retail, Business Banking credit risk, with solid experience in handling credit management information and regulatory reporting as well as credit decision rule maintenance on the underwriting systems.
  • Solid experience in Credit Bureau management and reporting would be an added advantage.
  • Advanced qualitative, statistical modelling skills; experienced in analytical tools (e.g SAS).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with internal / external stakeholders (influencing as well as directing) in carrying out the BAU duties and project management.
