About this role

• Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk & Business Analytics, the role is responsible for formulating and reviewing credit policies, procedures and guidelines to support WeLend's business, as well as ensuring proper credit risk mitigation measures are in place.

What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role

• Formulate or enhance credit policies and guidelines to support business initiatives
• Evaluate through regular quantitative analysis, acquisition and portfolio performance review on all loan products to improve the business efficiency/effectiveness
• Perform credit portfolio analysis, prepare periodic and ad-hoc risk reports
• Design and prepare Credit MIS reporting, and conduct issue investigation
• Support statistical analysis of risk and business data, as well as the development of customer segmentation and risk modelling
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements and processes

What is required and what we’re looking for

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Quantitative Finance or Risk Management or related disciplines
• 5+ years relevant experience in credit risk management, covering unsecured lending is definitely a plus
• Demonstrated analytical experience and sound business judgment, SAS programming experience is an advantage
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated track record in successful management and ability to manage risk
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
