Manager Flight Operations


The position is to ensure the safe, efficient and economical operation of our managed fleet and properly manage flight operations resources including crewing arrangement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director Flight Operations (DFO) to supervise the general conduct of flights undertaken by Company aircraft and for ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the Company’s AOC or the general conduct of non-AOC operations.
  • Monitor the professional performance of Company flight crew members and ensuring crew discipline is maintained – in particular, adherence to the Company Operations Manual and the maintenance of flying standards.
  • Develop and refine SOPs to reflect best practice and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Act as the first point of contact for flight crew members and manage the professional development of flight crew members and for counseling flight crew member’s performance.


  • In conjunction with HR and other departments be responsible for the selection and recruitment of flight crew.
  • Motivate the morale amongst flight crew members and develop crew to ensure the provision of the ultimate owner experience, whilst maintaining industry leading professional standards.
  • Maintain effective liaison with all internal departments as well as outside OEMs and vendors.
  • Participate in operational risk assessments or safety cases in compliance with procedures in Operation Manual and Emergency Response Plan in the event of an aircraft accident or incident.
  • Bring relevant aircraft maintenance and airworthiness matters to the attention of crew members.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of working experience in aviation industry with crew management experience, preferably in a multi-cultural workforce.
  • Knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations both in AOC and business aviation fields.
  • Client focused and oriented. Enhance and sustain productive customer relationships.
  • Team member with excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal.
  • Commercial acumen with relevant business experience.
  • Strong analytical skills. Competent with finance related tasks and processes.
  • Skilled at third party contract negotiations.
  • Prefer pilot experience, holder of a current Company’s aircraft type rating.
  • Relevant instructional qualifications and experience. Facilitation skills with prior experience, e.g. CRM instructor qualification, line trainer or similar.
  • Proficient in the use of the core Microsoft office suite.
