Job Description

Objective:

The role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely management reports, analysis and forecast to track business performance, performing budgeting and expense management, executing campaign fulfilments, and acting as the risk coordinator for individual insurance business function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sales summary for individual insurance business for HK Controllers for their preparation of monthly management reports; Prepare monthly and quarterly commentaries for business performance.
  • Assist in preparing monthly sales forecast, particularly in product mix for Individual Financial Products and its related campaign costs.
  • Prepare Market Share highlights to senior management on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare annual expense forecast, budgeting schedules and reconciliations; Review outputs with work area managers and HK CFO.
  • Prepare monthly expense and headcount summary, track any significant expenditure; Explain variance and highlight any irregularity.
  • Provide guidance to team members on settlements and accruals, accounting and reconciliations matters; Ensure proper accruals on a monthly basis.
  • Execute campaign fulfilment and oversee outsourcing arrangement within the function.
  • Act as the risk coordinator of individual insurance business function and collaborate with Risk Management on quarterly reporting and annual risk register update.
  • Document and update procedures in business continuity plan, including annual review and testing.
  • Assist management in any accounting-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification in any Accounting designation
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or auditing experience, of which 2 years in managerial level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must and Essbase will be advantageous
  • Proactive, hands on, attention to details and committed to meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
