Responsibilities:

  • To manage a team of processing staff and oversee the policy administration process in the department, and ensure policy documents are processed promptly and efficiently with minimum errors.
  • Liaise with Underwriters to ensure processing instructions are clear and unambiguous.
  • Attend to enquiries on policy documentation status (new policies, endorsements, renewals).
  • Supervise the team of processing staff and ensure:
    • Every team member is adequately trained in the necessary skills
    • Work is allocated evenly and fairly within the team, and monitored accordingly
    • Every team member meets processing turnaround time set for various types of documents
    • Any backlog that may build up under extraordinary circumstances (e.g. peak periods) are duly cleared.
  • Lead and/or participate in process improvement initiatives, service enhancements and ad hoc projects/ duties as assigned by the department head.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or equivalent with at least 8 years related experience, preferably with professional insurance qualifications or certifications
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good understanding of system and procedural issues and the ability to pick up new systems and procedures fast – in our case PREMIA
  • Good organization and people skills needed in leading documentation team
  • Meticulous and patient in dealing with systems issues
  • Able to thrive in a changing environment
