Manager, Product Development

Global Payments Asia-Pacific Ltd

This leadership (people manager) position will report to Vice President, Strategic Solutions and Product Development – Asia Pacific, which main job scope focuses in delivery card acceptance solutions (CAS).

  • Manage product development and implement delivery strategy for Asia Pacific regions with various head quarter teams on centralized/corporate-driven products and services (EMV CAD based) card acceptance solution (CAS)
  • Manage product delivery of software on approved EMV CAD solutions through partnership with EMV CAD platforms (e.g. Ingenico, Verifone, PAX, Spectra, etc)
  • Manage and define product life cycle for the responsible product suite, including but not limited to product roadmap, research, financial assessment, requirements, development, go-to-market planning, stakeholder training, product updates and improvements
  • Support on 3rd party EMV CAD solution in accordance to Global Payments payment specifications.
    • Work with strategic partners and ISVs on payment integration, product packaging and solutions, including support and implementation of proposition and customer focused strategy
  • Manage and participate in cross-functional/cross-country teams in to support customer engagement as part of continuous product improvement to enhance our value proposition in each local market
    • Collaborate cross-organizationally with internal stakeholders sales, marketing, schemes compliance team, customer support, operations, risk management, and other relevant functional areas to manage all aspects of product and service roll-outs
  • Organize and monitor pilots for new products and make recommendation on refining launch strategies in order to uplift performance and bring positive impact to customer experience and local market’s scorecard
  • Assist to identify innovations and develop multi-platform, multi-channel solutions beyond payment processing e.g. loyalty products, currency products, mobile payments, e-signature and paperless solutions, portal, vertical solution (Retail, F&B, Hotel, etc.) to penetrate/strengthen new/existing  segments
  • Support to RFI, RFP and tenders.
  • Tertiary degree holder (or equivalent) in technology/IT or related disciplines
  • Min 5-10 years of related work experience and supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years in product/project management in the Asia Pacific regional experience, preferably with multinational company
  • Required in-depth knowledge in the ISO8583 (and equivalent) EMV-CAD centric payment industry – payment network, processor, solution supplier, gateway providers or card acquirer
    • Technical knowledge in integrated EMV-CAD solutions is a plus
  • Related integration experience in omni-channel and O2O solution  delivery will be a plus
  • Experienced in EMV-CAD project delivery, PMP preferred
  • Experience with Agile project management and tools supporting agile methodology is a plus
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; good command of Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is preferred
  • Proficiency in product presentation, interpersonal and communication skills in face-to-face environment or in phone/video calls
  • Flexible for frequent conference calls or meetings outside of regular office hours
