Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s Asia Pacific headquarters oversees more than 18,000 employees at about 100 production sites and 125 sales offices across the region. In addition to a number of regional business units, the Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.

Objectives of the Position

  • Reporting to Head of Consumer Insights & Digital Solution, Personal Care Solutions, Care Chemicals Asia Pacific, you will:

    • Provide regional Personal Care trend analysis

    • Define business opportunities amongst brands or customers linked with trends

    • Lead solution communication concept by working closely with Marketing Development and Innovation team

    • Provide customized Consumer Insights information effectively via digitization platform

Job Responsibilities

  • Share trends of regional forecast regarding consumer usage & attitude (U&A), product innovation, ingredients communications etc.

  • Update current analysis regularly given multiple sources among Regional, countries and Global team

  • Manage and coordinate research and social media agencies to ensure effective sources

  • Brand categorization on such as positioning; and recommend potential customers to be approached for relating product and solutions

  • Support core marketing team on crafting solution communication concept from market trend insights linked with innovation technology by resonating consumer language

  • Plan and implement the structure of data for digitization integration

  • Lead the user experience for Consumer Insights related modules by defining the user flow and interface design requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Communication or related discipline. Master Degree in Business Administration is preferred.

  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in FMCG, Retail, Beauty, Personal Care or related industries with regional exposure

  • Product Marketer from Skin Care/ Personal Care will be of top priority

  • Able to influence and drive changes without authority within matrix and intercultural teams

  • Analytical, proactive, flexible, customer oriented and with sound presentation skills

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin/Cantonese
