We are now inviting a dedicated and innovative individual to join our Corporate Operations Department reporting to the Group Head of Safety, Security and Environment who is based in Hong Kong while the individual can be based elsewhere.

Main Responsibilities

You will be part of a small team in driving the highest standards in the Safety, Security and Environment (SSE) across our worldwide operations.

  • Support the implementation of the group strategy for SSE initiatives across our global operations by establishing, implementing and governing Group SSE policies, guidelines and standards for the business units (BUs)
  • In charge of annual or bi-annual SSE audit and compliance reporting, provide post-review recommendations to BUs and follow-ups
  • Conduct on-site investigation for fatality & accident incidents and provide corrective action plan to avoid reoccurrence
  • Provide training to BUs SSE personnel on accident investigation methodology and best practices
  • Keep abreast on state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative management techniques to provide practical solutions on safety and security measures while maintaining effective and smooth running of the operations
  • Refine data collection requirements across BUs to draw meaningful statistics for analysis to identify performance trends and patterns  in order to develop improvement plans
  • Work closely with Senior Management, the SSE committee and overseas BUs to promote and develop a positive SSE culture at all levels

Requirements and Competencies

  • Bachelors Degree in environmental, safety, engineering or related subject and professional Safety / Risk Certifications are preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in SSE and demonstrate progressive leadership
  • Relevant experience in port terminals or other industrial settings is highly advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence senior management and deal with all stakeholders in challenging situations
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
  • Competency with incident investigation process and Corrective Action Plan implementation
  • Effective communication skills including verbal and report writing in English
  • Willingness to travel to different locations where our operations are in presence
