Commercial Banking – Global Trade and Receivables Finance

Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies. 

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services.  As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Manager, Trade Credit Insurance.


Principal responsibilities

  • Manage and review Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) bank policies and bilateral policies and act as the principle relationship role with TCI service providers and brokers
  • Lead a team in debtor credit management and debtor limit application process
  • Perform periodic TCI portfolio analysis to identify potential risks and business opportunities with effective recommendations
  • Undertake credit reviews and investigations into loss events and assist in establishing corresponding measures to avoid future recurrence
  • Actively contribute to the department’s overall buyer/debtor exposure control as per prevailing guidelines and recommend enhancements to control measures as appropriate
  • Take an active role in special projects including those specific to Trade Credit Insurance
  • Coach and guide junior members of the Receivables Finance and Sales & Client Management team especially on the effective use of Trade Credit Insurance in mitigating buyer default risk



  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in open account trade finance, receivables finance / factoring and / or trade credit insurance
  • Strong attentiveness to detail, self-motivation and an ability to work independently under pressure
  • Solid experience in dealing with trade credit insurers / brokers and thorough understanding of credit insurance arrangements
  • Solid experience in using Trade Credit Insurance in the Receivables Finance business under a regulated banking environment
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
