The Marketing and Communications Manager assists the Assistant General Manager to oversee the Marketing and Communications team. He/she will plan, manage and execute all forms of marketing & communications activities for profile building and delivery of key messages to target stakeholders in order to achieve the Institute’s overall objectives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • To bridge, build and maintain a constructive relationship with external stakeholders and partners (publishers, PR consultant, event organizers, co-op partners, etc.), with the objective to ensure timely and quality deliverabl
  • To devise project plan, lead, manage and follow-up execution for annual events/conference and awards
  • To follow through production and ensure accuracy of publications, including annual report and bi-monthly journals which requires project planning and follow up execution
  • To oversee HKIB presentations and ensure consistent look and image as well as accuracy/update
  • To monitor social media and collaborate with service providers for maintenance
  • To manage the Institute’s website: to own the homepage update, to ensure information update and to coordinate with all teams to ensure content accuracy
  • To manage and coordinate production of corporate collateral and open for members’ purchase as appropriate
  • Events support – draft speeches and vet designer’s artwork to ensure accuracy
  • Meetings support including management meetings and project/task force meetings
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing and communications with solid event management expertise
  • Banking exposure a definite advantage
  • Familiar with multiple marketing platforms/channels including publications and social media
  • A track record of proven constructive relationship management, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and take decisions, but know when to seek guidance
  • Able to prioritize, to work flexibly, and to complete multi-tasks to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Proven skills in communication and literacy including proof-reading and presentation skills
  • A hands-on person who can also see the big picture
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese typing
