Marketing Executive

Role

Our client is looking for a talented Marketing Executive to undertake marketing projects for the benefit of the company. You will organize creative campaigns and promotional events that can make a difference for the company’s success according to trends and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will be passionate for the “art" of marketing and will have an abundance of ideas for building efficient strategies. He/she must bring forth a strong arsenal of techniques and methods to promote our products, services and public image.

The goal is to reach out to the market and cultivate the customer’s interest in our products and services in ways that strengthen our reputation and facilitate our continuous growth.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create awareness of and develop the brand you're marketing
  • Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships
  • Design marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing, digital marketing and campaigns
  • Support the sales manager in delivering agreed activities
  • Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or relevant channels
  • Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as banners brochures for trade shows/exhibitions and adverts
  • Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
  • Run social media channels, produce creative content, including videos and posts on LinkedIn to enhance audience engagement
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Source and secure sponsorship/partnership marketing campaigns
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Maintain and update customer databases
  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy (often as part of a wider sales and marketing programme)
  • Evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertising and SEO to make sure the correct mediums are being used and campaigns are effective
  • Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare weekly or monthly reports for management
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity
  • Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities
  • Oversee and manage the marketing budget.

Person Specification

  • Speaks Cantonese or Mandarin as a native language, and fluent English.
  • Proven 1-3 years’ experience as marketing executive or similar role
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods
  • Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
  • Familiarity with social media and web analytics (e.g. WebTrends)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • BSc/BA in marketing, business administration or relevant discipline
