Marketing Manager, CCIB Marketing HK

Role Responsibilities

  • A professional B2B marketing manager to strategise, formulate and execute the CCIB marketing strategy supporting the business priorities and agenda.

Strategy

  • Sound knowledge of the China market and a good understanding of the opportunities opening up for corporate clients, especially the Greater Bay Area initiatives and around New Economy

Business

  • Position the Bank as a thought leader especially in the Greater Bay Area through strategic partnerships with media, key sponsorship platforms and business chambers etc. Strengthen and amplify the GBA Index through media, social and client engagement platforms.

Processes

  • Event marketing: organising seminars, conferences, client hospitality events approved in the marketing plan to the highest levels of professionalism. Familiar with the digital marketing landscape in China (experience in managing and driving utilisation of WeChat etc)

People & Talent

  • Work with key business stakeholders from CCIB to strategise, develop and execute marketing initiatives that helps to stand out the Bank’s position in the marketplace and drive marketing activities accordingly to fulfil business needs

Risk Management

  • Branding: advising and safeguarding the branding and educate business stakeholders to follow branding guidelines.

Governance

  • Manage the marketing finance reporting, procurement arrangement, liaison for operational matters, etc.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key stakeholders

  • CCIB Segments and all Product teams for marketing initiatives strategic direction and coordination
  • CEO offices in HK and GBA, for marketing initiatives coordination
  • Group Brand & Marketing for alignment of global strategy
  • Corporate Affairs for media related event management, media interview with CCIB/ GBA management to build brand and profile
  • Global Sourcing for procurement advice on vendor engagement & employment of service
  • Finance for bill payment and cost centre transactions
  • Legal and Compliance for expert advice on marketing initiatives and clearance of marketing materials
  • External Partners – Event Agency / Production house / Media Agency for expert advice on development of client engagement strategy and creative execution
  • External Partners – Strategic Alliance for development & execution of joint marketing initiatives

Our Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Languages: English & Mandarin – fluent; Cantonese – preferred but not necessary
  • Preferably to have experience of B2B marketing or professional services marketing
  • Preferably to have around 8 years of work experience, preferably in the financial services industry with a track record of implementing successfully marketing initiatives

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite
