Medical Affairs Liaison (Pharmaceutical / Medical Device)

  • Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical / scientific community.
  • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of scientific and clinical information regarding marketed and pipeline products, in a timely, ethical and customer-focused manner.
  • Engage discussions with key opinion leaders and regional thought leaders at key academic centers, professional organizations and medical societies in the determined countries / regions.
  • Facilitate preclinical research, clinical research or publication interest by key opinion leaders and regional thought leaders.
  • Provide on-site support and assistance during product evaluation or trial process.
  • Provide educational support as requested by Marketing and Sales staff.
  • Provide assistance on special projects in conjunction with Marketing, Sales, Clinical
  • Development, or Compliance departments as directed.
  • Provide support in collating and reporting data in connection with safety events that arise in the context of use of products.
  • Report changes in medical practices.


  • Hospital environment and / or medical research environment.
  • Guidelines, clinical research processes, national / regional regulations, and industry standards regarding the use of medicinal products.
  • Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including key opinion leaders and regional thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical societies scientific bodies, medical directors and pharmacy directors.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for win-win interactions and to operate them while implementing scientific and educational strategies.
  • Technical skills in the areas of health care policy, cost-effectiveness studies, disease burden studies, epidemiology, statistics, clinical study data articulation, differentiation and detailing.
  • Advanced degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. epidemiology, health administration, health services, medicine, pharmacy, human biology, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, etc).
  • 3 years industry experience or up to 6 years of significant previous training and experience in designing and conducting research and disseminating the results in the areas of health economics, health outcomes, disease management, and / or population health may substitute for the formal degree requirement.
