Reporting directly to the Merchandising Director, the Merchandising Assistant will be working closely with Category Managers and Junior Category Managers to provide administrative support. You are responsible for monthly ordering, updating data into in-house system, overseeing shipment process, monitoring inventory status, etc.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process monthly ordering under the guidance of category managers;
    • Upload and revise of Purchase Orders into the system;
    • Register and update SKU / Price information into the system;
    • Ensure PO closing accuracy in the system
  • Liaise with Warehouse, Forwarder, Retail Operations Managers for shipment updates;
    • Manage shipment discrepancies, e.g. damaged / missing goods;
    • Prioritize the shipment processing when required;
    • Process regular Return/Scrap into in-house system (SAP)
  • Monitor samples and gift with purchase inventory;
  • Constantly communicate with team and other related parties, including but not limited to Logistics, Retail Operations, Marketing Departments;
  • Generate and analyze relevant reports to support accurate stock distribution, as well as identify slow moving and top sellable items;
  • Provide general administrative support to the team;
  • Assist in ad-hoc duties as per assigned.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

  • Diploma in Business / Retail Management or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1 year relevant working experience;
  • High accuracy in work delegated;
  • Good at numbers & analytical skills;
  • Attention to details and dedication to multiple projects;
  • Experience in SAP system (MM Module) will be an advantage;
  • High flexibility and adaptability to handle different tasks and work extra hours to meet deadlines;
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment independently;
  • Good communication skill in both written and oral English, Cantonese, and Mandarin;
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Interest in retail business and different categories (Perfume & Cosmetics / Fashion).
