  • Sourcing products on a global scale for an international brand or High

Street retailer



  • Working directly with vendors and an ability to evaluate performance

therein



  • Managing and influencing others in a multi-cultural environment
  • Working in an 'open book' costing environment and effecting reductions

where opportunities arise



  • Working in a cross functional role in a global business
  • Fundamental principles of supply chain management on a global basis
  • Effective calendar management in an International Brand , Retail or

FMCG environment



  • Principles of key vendor partnerships and the management thereof
  • Product cost breakdowns and cost engineering principals
  • Corporate responsibility strategy and implementation plan
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and electronically in a

multi-cultural environment



  • Sound mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge in SAP or other ERP systems is required
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin

Job Duties:


  • Build and take the lead of a cross functional team (Category, Design

Supply Chain Planning, Technical, Finance, Sales and Licensees) to

manage the Sourcing and Operations requirements for your vendor base



  • Manage the vendor relationships to ensure that the company is at the

forefront of 'best in class' supply chain management & On Time

Delivery & financial targets are achieved



  • Support all licensees for the relevant category to ensure both Brand

integrity and alignment



  • Work cross-functionally with the headquarters' Category team and Asia

colleagues to drive the development and implementation of product and

sourcing strategies at category level in-line with calendar and target

cost / margin requirements



  • Maintain expert awareness of specific market intelligence and

innovation both in terms of product and raw material to support the

product strategy



  • Communicate the product and sourcing strategies to vendors and lead

the day-to-day management of vendor relationships within your area



  • Responsible for sourcing new vendors where gaps are identified
  • Work with all vendors to communicate and execute social responsibility

strategy, encourage, monitor and facilitate vendors' on continuous

improvement



  • Work with key vendors to deliver improved supply chain efficiency

including greater flexibility, shorter lead times, re-engineering and

margin improvements



  • Be the voice of the company within vendor base & licensees
  • Proactively support and resolve issues on cost price negotiations &

operational issues



  • Manage service level agreements with key vendors, conduct monthly

operational and annual 360-degree performance reviews



  • Drive, monitor and report key performance indicators for vendors
  • Escalate and resolve poor vendor performance
  • Support licensee requirements in line with Brand guidelines
  • Monitor performance of direct reports providing leadership, coaching

and support as necessary to meet individual development goals



  • Drive teams development and training plans
  • Develop and support succession planning across the team
