Museum Programme Support (Government/Contract)

Responsibilities:

  • To update website information regarding exhibitions, programmes and services
  • To perform basis photo and graphic editing
  • To assist in developing museum social networks:
  • To plan and monitor education activities for the general public
  • To arrange the working hours and duties of programme tutors and supervise the operation of programmes
  • To provide clerical assistant related to museum programmes and service:
  • To liaise with the Museum’s Management Unit for the daily operation of the education programmes, including event set-up, crowd control and ensure that the rules and regulations are observed by the visitors and users
  • To co-ordinate with frontline staff to ensure the smooth running of the various activities/programmes/performances held in the Museum
  • To assist in maintaining the equipment, installations and fixtures of the Education Activities Sub-unit in a satisfactory condition
  • To prepare report on the analysis of users’ comments and feedback on the audio guide service
  • To safe-keep the audio guide equipment and arrange maintenance of respective hardware
  • Outdoor duties are required

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (major in subjects of arts/history stream are preferable)
  • Passed in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE or Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in DSE or
    Level 1 in Chinese and English in CRE

  • At least 2 year full time working experience in customer service related areas and on website management in museums or other education institutions
  • Proficiency with FTP software, Liferay System and Lotus Notes
  • Good at using MS Office and graphic/photo editing software
  • Experience in planning and organizing public programmes including cultural events, art workshops, and performance, etc. is required
  • Possessing good communication skills; showing strong initiative; being courteous; being able to work within a team and work independently
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Good at computer applications, including Chinese character input and using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
