Job Description :

  • Work closely with key account team, and solutions architects to identify opportunities in existing key accounts;
  • Work with the account team to plan the open source service strategy within a set of defined accounts
  • Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships
  • Ensure that IBM Open Source Service become the first choice for our strategic customers
  • Guide and close open source service opportunities

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

  • 4+ years of experience in a solutions sales role
  • 2+ years of experience focused on open source service in enterprise account
  • Background in consultative customer engagement with a open source software provider
  • Broad understanding of enterprise middleware technologies, e.g., Red Hat Middleware, IBM WebSphere, or Oracle WebLogic
  • Understanding of Container platforms, e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift
  • Demonstrated success in a similar technology or software sales support position; understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large companies
  • Ability to sell open source service solutions in a enterprise environment
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
  • Ability to maintain balance of strategic and tactical skills
  • Understanding of needs of application developers and DevOps environments is a plus
