About the Role
We have an excellent career opportunity and an immediate need for a Network Operations Analyst.  This is a combine role of Operations & technical responsibility.

What you will do
The Network Operations Analyst will be a part of our Global NOC team, which is the main point of contact for our worldwide clients.  The position offers you a challenging opportunity to be a key part of a highly skilled and globally diverse technical team.

The candidate will work collaboratively with other team members actively involved in supporting our global online transaction-processing environment, with the ability to work unsupervised.  The job involves support of a complex hosted payment transaction solution, becoming part of the team who implement and maintain always-on production systems.

Ideally, the candidate will assist in improving end to end monitoring and constantly reviewing current implementations against future needs.

Who you are
Perform Network Operations Center system monitoring, including application and network systems that process in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.
Application monitoring and anomaly detection.
Assist on issues up to their resolution.
Ensure support items are being worked and follow up.
Track and update events in a ticketing system in a clear and efficient manner.
Assist clients and internal teams with questions on our products.
Troubleshoot and resolve Tier1 incidents within the NOC using documented procedures.
Provide escalation status notification throughout the enterprise on service impacting events.
Create Incident reports for internal and external communication.
Perform daily health checks to proactively certify the state of our systems and services.
Likely to work also with vendors to assist on troubleshooting or migration projects in IT.
Create, document and amend processes for future use in our knowledge base.

What you will need to bring to Planet

  • Associates Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, comparable education or compensatory experience.
  • Highly energetic and ambitious.
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills.
  • Business level English and Chinese spoken and written skills. (Proficient in Mandarin preferred)
  • Experience with recent versions of Windows Server (2012 or 2016) and applications.
  • Functional Knowledge of VPN, TCP/IP (and typical protocols), VLANs and Firewalls.
  • This position requires on-call support on a rotational basis, providing support outside of business hours & technical coverage during weekends.
  • Understanding of Payments electronic card processing, end-to-end transaction flows, Interchange and Fees.
  • Experience in Data Analysis, Excel and Business Intelligence reporting software.
  • Desire to build and foster client relationships, supporting the Business and Operations teams.  Occasional travel may be necessary.

Desirable Skills (at least some of the following is a strong plus)

  • Experience working in a highly available 24x7x365 environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Confluence and/or Sharepoint management experience.
  • Experience in incident management.
  • Experience of PCI compliant environments at the operational layers (systems, infrastructure).
  • Must act independently and be assertive.
