The Construction Industry Council has several vacancies for the above position in Aberdeen.
The applicant must possess
a recognised degree, preferably in business management or construction-related disciplines;
a minimum of 1 year’s (for Assistant Officer) / 3 years’ (for Officer) post-qualification work experience in construction / auditing / business management related fields or project execution;
ability to accomplish assigned tasks independently and with quality to meet strict deadlines;
a high level of integrity and a good sense of responsibility; meticulous, attentive to details and sensitive to figures;
good planning and organisation skills, proactive working attitude and willingness to take up responsibilities;
resilience and adaptability to changes;
strong interpersonal and communication skills;
proficiency in Microsoft application softwares (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Chinese Word Processing; and
excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is a must.

to monitor and control the quality on the daily operation of various Collaborative Training Schemes;
to develop and execute the site inspection plan, detailed procedures, implementation programme, propose enhancement measures and monitor the progress of the participating contractors in the Collaborative Training Schemes;
(for Officer) to supervise the site inspection team and lead the site inspection on all trainees related to the Collaborative Training Schemes; (for Assistant Officer) to carry out site inspection on all trainees of the Collaborative Training Schemes;
to assist in developing, reviewing and revising the training syllabus;
to prepare correspondences, work plans, reports, presentation files, and meeting agenda, papers, minutes as well as any other documents;
to assist in planning and carry out business plan and initiatives for improving the quality of construction training and any other relevant services;
to assist in the liaison with stakeholders, including government departments, trade associations, professional bodies, labours unions and construction companies with regard to the implementation and development of training schemes;
to provide support in CIC events and ad-hoc assignments as and when required; and
to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
