Officer, Client Due Diligence Team (6 month contract) 1

What is the opportunity?

As the Officer, Client Due Diligence Team, you will be responsible for reviewing account opening documentation for completeness in accordance with AML/KYC policy/guidance.

What will you do?

  • Follow-up on account opening documentation with the Front Office for new accounts
  • Review changes in source of wealth and assess the adequacy of the corroboration
  • Review Factiva and/or eAML results for any adverse news or hits. Escalate in the event of true or doubtful matches.
  • Seek approval from management to onboard medium risk clients
  • Provide guidance to Front Office on documentation requirements
  • Work with AMLC on any exceptions to policy
  • Escalate all high risk clients to AMLC for review, where applicable
  • Create account in Avaloq
  • Prepare management reporting, track status and highlight any risk items

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree Holder (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Financial Institution for similar role
  • Experience in account documentation review
  • Good spoken and written English is a must
  • Ability to read Chinese
  • Strong excel and report presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills

Nice-to-have

  • Have prior Avaloq experience
  • Preferably with an additional good spoken Asian language
