The Job:

  • Manage the planning and scheduling of the entire software deployment throughout the Release cycle, with actual coordination and monitoring during the maintenance window.
  • Manage and track the IT Release Calendar and communication.
  • Prepare and execute runbook. Resolve conflict with stakeholders before Release activity.
  • Produce and review deployment, rollback, resource, and communication plans.
  • Manage all Release activities and line up with different teams including application, infrastructure, and security to ensure their tasks are implemented per runbook.
  • Drive Release process improvements, automation, standardization, and documentation.
  • Collaborate and communicate between internal application teams, Group IT team, vendors and business for Release content submissions and oversee the implementation.
  • Act as a contact point for Release activities, conduct Release meetings to ensure all relevant parties clearly understand, able to execute the Release and post-mortem review.
  • Handle documentation of Release activities, improvement plan, process, standard and guidelines.
  • Duty after office hours e.g. Release window at night time, weekend or public holiday.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of IT operation, prefer with focus on Release management and/or project coordination experience in financial or banking industry.
  • Experience in implementing IT Service Management process for a sizing organization. If having experience in Release tools and automation will have advantage.
  • Proactive and strong coordination, communication and multitasking skills, able to communicate effectively with all relevant parties at different levels.
  • Need to provide support during non-office hour but not very frequent.
  • Independent, proactive, responsible and can-do attitude.
  • A strong problem solver and able to take initiatives in solving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively tailor communication of technical issues to various audiences
