OFFICER, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

We are looking for a dynamic, driven and focused individual to join our Marketing and Communications Department to fill the position of Officer. Reporting to Manager of Corporate Communications, the Officer will be responsible for assisting in the development of corporate communications, including newsletters and emails, reports and corporate brochures, to enhance the Institute's corporate communications with its members and stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

Communications:

  • Proofread and edit content produced internally by the Institute for external use in a timely manner
  • Prepare and layout emails and newsletters sent by the Institute in Dreamweaver
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding the development of newsletters sent by the Institute
  • Assist in the development of new corporate communications material, including email templates, collaterals, websites and white paper reports
  • Liaise with vendors regarding publication of Institute produced material
  • Assist in ad hoc communications projects

Social media:

  • Assist in the management of social media feeds and help develop content plans
  • Work with appointed social media managers on social media strategy
  • Track social media performance

Website:

  • Work with other departments within the Institute on creating content for web pages
  • Assist in the website redesign
  • Design images/graphics for website and social media

Qualifications and Required Attributes

Essential:

  • University degree
  • Minimum five years relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork sills, where effective coordination and influence are required
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High level of detail
  • Focus on getting it right, first time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop
  • Experienced with email marketing systems
  • Experienced with Customer Records Management systems
  • Knowledge in the accounting / finance profession
