Officer - Marketing, Membership & Events

The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers

To provide high-quality membership services to HKIB members by supporting the Marketing, Membership & Events (MME) Team in executing plans and activities related to membership recruitment and retention.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing, Membership & Events team, to ensure alignment and achievement of the overall objectives of membership recruitment and retention
  • Maintain and update membership database and ensure data accuracy
  • Support the planning and execution of membership benefits including liaison with collaborative partners and vendors 
  • Draft stakeholders’ communication including e-newsletter, event updates in bi-monthly journal other correspondence
  • Support networking events, seminars, conferences, awards, sponsored luncheons, school projects, government-funded projects, etc.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors


Job Requirements

  • University degree holder or above, preferably in marketing or communication discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of membership, customer service, sales & marketing or event management experience
  • Experience in membership recruitment and event management an advantage
  • Strong communications skills and attention to details
  • Proactive and a good team player
  • Outgoing, curious and resourceful
  • Excellent English and Chinese writing skills with the ability to devise attractive promotion materials and punchy communication messages
  • Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Good PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
