Hang Seng’s Operations is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strives for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.

Operational Services Department is the dedicated unit to manage and oversee vendor management function for Operations, and is responsible for the Bank's operations on central cash processing, self-service terminal operations, customer correspondence printing, logistics and courier, document scanning and storage and cheque processing & payment.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Operational Services Officer, Cheque Processing.


Principal responsibilities

  • Provide effective cheque payment services to internal/external customers on Inward Clearing process.
  • Confirm inward clearing cheque payment instruction with customers.
  • Participate in system, process & procedural review, user acceptance test and adhoc projects.
  • Assist Section Head to manage daily operations in compliance with the Group standards, established procedures and guidelines, regulatory requirements, service pledge and industry cut-off time.


  • Diploma / Certificate in Banking, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of one year experience in local cheque clearing exchange process.
  • Familiar with banking systems such as OBS and Online Banking System.
  • Strong self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of application software including MS Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
