Operations Director

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Business Operations Division is primarily responsible for the overall management and supervision of the business operations functions including, Accounts & Finance, Logistics and Shipping, Human Resources, Information Technology and Office Administration in the Greater China countries.


Major Duties

  • Assist the CEO in creating maximum value for the company's stakeholders
  • Provide advisory and analysis to the CEO on financial, operational and strategic business issues to meet corporate growth and financial strategies
  • Responsible for the development, design, and improvement of the business process and work process systems
  • Establish review process to ensure data quality, completeness and integrity as well as resolving outstanding issues covering inventory, logistics, trade credits and debits, accruals, account payable, account receivables, and capital expenditures
  • Work closely with internal service providers to ensure performance of the functions of
  • Human Resources, Information Technology and Office Administration
  • Drive performance measures for the measurement of the operation's performance by reviewing high level key indicators
  • Direct and manage all accounts & finance functions including accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash forecasting and management, internal control, management, financial and statutory reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all auditing, statutory and tax requirement in Greater China countries
  • Review and analyze financial and management reports and ensure the accuracy and timely submission of the reports
  • Maintain and monitor staffing, knowledge, skills, expectations and motivation to fulfill organizational requirements
  • Lead or manage special projects/assignments from time to time
     

Requirements

  • Qualified CPA and Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant accounting and financial experience, of which at least 7 years in a senior managerial position overseeing the accounting & finance, logistics and shipping, human resources and office administration functions within retail industry
  • Solid experience in accounting and supply chain management is a must
  • Good knowledge of HK and PRC accounting, taxation and custom rules
  • Familiar with Enterprise Resources Planning Solutions ('ERP")
  • Excellent people management, communication and language skills with strong motivation and leadership
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
