With our expanding railway network and multiple major asset replacement projects, we offer excellent career opportunities for aspiring young Engineers.You are invited to join our Operations Engineering Associate Programme working in the relevant operating railway department and be groomed as an engineering professional.The programme involves 2 to 3 years’ comprehensive on-the-job training for you to further develop and equip the competencies necessary as an Engineer.
Subject to satisfactory performance, you will be progressed to a senior supervisory position upon completion of the Programme with the following duties, which provide you solid foundation and experience to build up a long-term career path as railway professional engineer:
Supervise a team of staff / contractor staff to perform corrective / preventive maintenance, implement modification works and conduct incident investigations as well as compile analysis;
Undertake design tasks and provide technical support for the operating railway systems;
Deploy new technology and digitalization to deliver smart maintenance and interfacing works.
Degree in one of the following disciplines: Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic / Software / Information / Building Services Engineering / Telecommunications / Computer Science
A minimum of 1-year engineering related experience
Good command of both written and spoken English
Self-motivated with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Fresh graduates with strong passion to develop career in railway will be considered
Successful candidate may be invited to join the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Scheme A Programme subject to work performance
Candidate who does not possess a degree recognised by the HKIE will be recommended to join other paths of chartership subject to academic or professional requirements as stated in the relevant professional institutions (e.g. ICE, IET, IMechE, etc.)
Duration of training will be commensurate with candidates’ background.The successful candidates will be appointed on contract terms and converted to permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the programme
