Organisational Development and Learning Lead, Asia

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead the design and delivery of the Organisational Development and Learning (OD&L) platform across the Asia region to build workforce capability and engagement, and help drive business outcomes. Work in close partnership with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Country HR teams in order to identify regional OD&L requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and delivery of Asia OD&L Products and Services:

  • Conduct ongoing development needs analysis to determine organisational needs across Asia to ensure appropriate prioristisation of investment and delivery
  • Partner with the Regional Head of HR and with HRBPs to develop and implement high quality OD&L initiatives across Asia. This could include but is not limited to:
    • Blended learning, including face to face, online and on the job development
    • Coaching and Mentoring
    • Talent management
    • Culture and Engagement
  • Adapt the OD&L platform to further develop awareness of, and skills in diversity and inclusion and further Macquarie’s diversity platform
  • Partner with HRBPs and the Regional Head of HR to foster intra-Group collaboration between business lines by developing cross group knowledge and strengthening intra-Group relationships
  • Facilitate cross-regional and business specific OD&L events and workshops as required.
  • Use best practice tools and methodologies to evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of OD&L programmes, and manage associated OD&L reporting providing business insights and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with key external vendors in the Asia region in order to support the successful delivery of strategic and operational goals.
  • Drive and project manage the development of new OD&L Asia initiatives to ensure high quality timely delivery.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to maximise technology in the development and implementation of OD&L initiatives.
  • Promote and market OD&L within Macquarie in order to increase visibility of OD&L products and services across the region.
  • Contribute to global OD&L project work on a needs basis (e.g. implementation of new systems, best practice approaches).
  • Manage, lead and develop a small team of OD&L professionals in Asia

Relationship Management:

  • Act as a key OD&L relationship manager to provide internal consulting services, support and advice to specific Asian businesses.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across specific businesses (HRBPs, Regional Business leaders, global HR) in order to identify OD&L needs and collaborate in order to develop relevant and pragmatic solutions which support business goals.
  • Collaborate with broader OD&L and HR community to deliver an integrated suite of learning methods and products.
  • Participate in external learning forums to build and leverage knowledge best practice OD&L and market trends.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED IN ROLE

Technical / Job Related:

  • Experience of scoping, developing and delivering L&D solutions within large, matrixed organisations
  • Experience across OD initiatives including talent mapping, change management, performance management and diversity
  • Experience of developing and managing learning content, processes and systems
  • Functional expertise in learning methodologies and tools, including evaluation and reporting
  • Consulting expertise and ability to foster excellent client relationships
  • Expertise in the identification and ongoing management of external vendors
  • Proven facilitation experience, particularly in relation to learning programmes and team interventions
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, delivery oriented environment

Business Knowledge

  • Commercial and pragmatic approach
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of a financial or professional services environment desirable
