PABX Administrator (private automatic branch exchange)

Key Responsibilities: Manage operation of the telephone network including maintenance of Avaya IPT PABX and network routing Initiate monitoring and planning regarding telecommunication requirements for both production and DR site to ensure high availability, sufficient bandwidth and leads advance features implementation Coordinate other parties like software providers and users for implementation of enhancements to the telecommunication systems Plan, install and maintain voice mail, unified messaging, telephone call logging, and access levels/PIN numbers and call accounting systems Review requests for telecommunication enhancements and formulate the work orders for vendor's action Review telecommunication billing printouts; check authenticity; take action on any discrepancies Plan new telephone internal wiring, ducting, plus external underground/overhead cable Ensure that the telephone directory and all other telephone information / documentation (e.g. cable arrangement) is updated Provide advanced technical assistance and do troubleshooting on more complex and demanding problems; other technical support duties including PC support, server administration would be required Requirements: Diploma from a technical college, or an equivalent of education, certification and experience in the field of telecommunications Minimum 3 years' experience in Avaya PABX, knowledge and experience with IPT communication system Hands on experience in implementing IP phone system, maintaining office telecommunication infrastructure and managing vendor on the implementation of software solutions would be an advantage Hands on experience in Windows / Linux based server administration would also be an advantage Excellent project management skills Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin language

Requirements:

Diploma from a technical college, or an equivalent of education, certification and experience in the field of telecommunications
Minimum 3 years' experience in Avaya PABX, knowledge and experience with IPT communication system
Hands on experience in implementing IP phone system, maintaining office telecommunication infrastructure and managing vendor on the implementation of software solutions would be an advantage
Hands on experience in Windows / Linux based server administration would also be an advantage
Excellent project management skills
Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin language
