Paralegal

Imperial Pacific International

  • Conduct audit of delegates ensuring compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, policies, and documentation; recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
  • Represent completed audits, compliance issues impacting applicable audits conducted.
  • Respond to questions relating to audits, research and emerging legislation.
  • Provides expert knowledge and guidance around delegation oversight requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with downstream entities delegates on ways to improve adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Perform follow-up audits as required to assess improvement on previous non-compliant findings.
  • Provide administrative support to Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Legal.
  • Assist Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Legal with preparation and organization of corporate minutes, other documentation of corporate action and share register.
  • Create reports and handle special projects, as assigned.
  • Review and assist with payment processing of invoices from legal vendors.
  • Drafting correspondence, policies and procedures, and research memoranda.
  • Conduct advertisement reviews.
  • Some travel may be required.

Job Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent training and mastery; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two to four years of legal experience.
  • Compliance, AML experience a plus.

Skills & Others

  • Candidates must also have excellent oral and written communication skills; written competency in spelling, grammar and punctuation; be accurate and organized; and have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, work well under pressure, take the initiative, and be flexible and cooperative.
  • Detail-orientated and organized.
  • Accuracy, timeliness, tact, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive customer and company information and records.
  • Convey a positive and professional image to customers and peers.
