SCAD seeks a circulation assistant to provide excellent customer service at the university’s library in Hong Kong.
In this role, you will be responsible for the general circulation of library materials and in-stack maintenance, including shelving, shelf-reading and shifting the library’s collection. Additionally, you will manage the serial collection, ensure course reserves are up to date, and assist members of the SCAD community with accessing information from the library.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should demonstrate superior customer service skills and excellent verbal and written English communication. The ability to maintain organized records is essential to success in this role, as are the abilities to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to meet short deadlines. In addition, you must be able to manage resources and the Library of Congress call number system for shelving library materials.
