The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 21 innovative degree programmes across our 3 Faculties of Design and Environment, Management and Hospitality and Science and Technology that are vocationally and professionally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and also accredited by the relevant professional bodies where appropriate. The appointee shall report to the Dean and engage in delivering lectures, conducting tutorials and supervising students’ projects for the Faculty.
The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management, or related fields; at least 4 years’ teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in relevant fields. He/she should have good interpersonal and social skills, and high proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching / practical experience in Building Services Engineering, Building Information Modelling, or Facility Management and with membership of professional institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a teaching demonstration in English at the interview.
(2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee(s) will work on Tsing Yi Campus.
