Academic Year 2018/19 (on a need basis)
(a) To plan and deliver the Structured Whole Person Development programmes to students and adults, including staff retreat, educational day camps, adventure-based education and experiential learning programme activities;
(b) To perform teaching and practical training;
(c) To prepare training materials, student assessment and maintain training-related records; and
(d) To implement and maintain safety control measures during the training programmes.
(a) A recognized higher diploma in experiential learning / outdoor adventure training / social work / sports and recreation training or equivalent;
(b) At least 3 years’ relevant experience in educational sector or training camp / youth centre, outdoor training organizations;
(c) Professional qualification / certificate on both Low and High events issued by recognized associations;
(d) Possession of valid first-aid certificate;
(e) Proficiency in basic computer software applications;
(f) Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
(g) Ability to work independently and be a good team player with a sense of responsibility;
(h) Ability to pass a trade test;
(i) Experience in outdoor adventure programme development on corporate training and in-service training is preferable; and
(j) Possessing other relevant professional qualification would be an advantage e.g. sport climbing, mountain craft coaching, etc.
(1) Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in (a) above but possess 8 years’ relevant experience in educational sector or managing training camp / youth centre may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2) The appointee(s) will work mainly in Tai Lam Chung (next to Tuen Mun Interchange Bus Stop) with outdoor duties in designated places as assigned.
(3) The appointee(s) will be required to perform duties on weekends, holidays and/or outside normal office hours.
(4) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
