  • Responsible of the pastry & bakery section and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain the consistency of excellent quality and standard of plated, Tea Set style and Buffet alike desserts
  • Developing, designing and creating pastries, baked goods and confections which are ‘up to date’ and reflective of the latest trends
  • Monitor the cleanliness as well as sanitation of the kitchen
  • Maintain the inventory and cost control by planning with quality ingredients within the budgetary restrictions
  • Provide on-the-job-training to subordinates and develop the next generation of passionate pastry chefs


  • Creative and with passion, quality-oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of the latest trends in the pastry arena and able to articulate these into the hotel’s ‘own style’
  • Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills Training or related disciplines including Kitchen administration experience and proficiency
  • Minimum 8 years' working experience in luxury hotel at similar capacity, quality, style and detail driven
  • Holder of Food Hygiene Supervisor Certificate an advantage
  • Strong managerial abilities in people management, strategic planning and decision making with a sense for discipline
