Performance Coach (Training Manager) - Developing Markets


Job Summary

The role holder will be responsible for the design, development, delivery and assessment of learning relating to Partnership Distribution leadership and sales management skills to enable role competence, regulatory compliance and skills development of AIA and partner employees with the aim of building capacity and driving performance.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for learning on all leadership and sales management skills to the Bancassurance, Broker, DMTM teams both within AIA and partners.
Formulate input to the Learning Needs Analysis (LNA), learning calendar, learning delivery, learning curriculum; aides and tools (development, maintenance, review, research, content, documentation, media)
Develops/reviews and maintains learning curriculum, content, materials documents, manuals, aids, tools, and media
Deliver learning programmes including delivery and skills assessments and conduct observation and coaching sessions to ensure skills are being transferred
Coordinate persons involved in delivering learning including learning, internal learning coaches (trainers), external learning coaches (trainers), learning facility management
Maintain relationships with INTERNAL / EXTERNAL customers/ stakeholders/ suppliers within Partnership Distribution space i.e. Line Managers, Learning Service Providers and Curriculum Developers.
Maintain data, records and statistics LNA documents, learning calendars, staff learner days and delivery and skills assessments.
Monitoring and reporting on the budget relating to learning ensuring adherence to approved budget.
Deliver and facilitate learning events across various Business Units and geographic locations.


A University degree or at least 10 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry, 4 of which must be at Management level in an Insurance Company or Insurance intermediary
Have at least 10 years experience as a channel/sales head, sales manager or sales management coach (trainer)
Have at least 3 years experience in facilitating leadership and sales management programmes to sales managers
Flexibility of travel is a requirement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Capacity to work with minimum supervision to meet strict deadlines and demands of the job.
Excellent people management and leadership skills; innovative and motivating attitude.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent planning, problem solving and analytical skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software
Language ability in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
