Role Introduction

This role will manage performance marketing programmes for Cathay Pacific’s global portfolio with the objective of driving Direct Sales as the ultimate goal. He/she will help translate business needs into new opportunities for continuous optimisation of programmatic marketing, SEM and SEO programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and plan the strategy of the overall performance marketing programme and synergies between brand, display/programmatic, search, social, marketing cloud, digital content and other touchpoints
  • Lead the building of an excellent performance marketing team with functional experts (SEM, SEO, display/programmatic, paid social, etc) in building growth and scale agenda through test & learn and channel prioritisation
  • Plan and manage display/programmatic, SEM campaigns to achieve KPI under robust measurement framework
  • Manage and drive agency teams to optimise campaigns to achieve aggressive KPIs
  • Manage the budget, resources and priority of global performance marketing initiatives accordingly to marketing goals and business direction on yearly and quarterly basis
  • Work with and identify requirements from stakeholders from commercial and customer teams across global and regional levels into new sales and optimisation opportunities
  • Optimise customer journey across external and owned channels, with partnership with customer experience and loyalty teams
  • Collaborate closely with regional marketing teams to ensure best practices are adopted and merged well with different local needs
  • Regular internal sharing across departments on performance marketing activities & get buy-in from key stakeholder on new initiatives
  • Strategise and manage short- and long-plans and communicate progress - project management and data analyses skills equally critical


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, mass communication, or digital marketing
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing with at least 3 years managerial experience with direct report responsibilities
  • Creative, strategic thinker, analytical and is passionate for travel content and content marketing is an advantage
  • Excellent professional knowledge of performance marketing tools/platforms, e.g. Adobe/Salesforce suite, Google Analytics, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DV360, Facebook Ads, site testing/optimisation tools and etc
  • Track record of leading and managing digital marketing projects (strategy, planning, collaboration, execution/testing, tracking/analyses), and improving internal processes
  • Strong customer centric mindset in crafting omni-channel customer journey to effectively engage with customers
  • Understanding in importance of big picture marketing strategy and attention to detail, communications/stories and numbers;
  • Strategic partnerships management and strategic communications planning skills (omni-channel)
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimisation and on-page optimisation techniques, analytics, multivariate testing, and persona based content delivery
  • Creative campaign deployment: examples of working collaboratively with designers and strategists to turn ideas into live performance marketing campaigns
  • Excellent project and time-management skills; ability to work in an Agile environment and meet sprint deadlines
  • Strong collaborative mind-set; must be able to proactively address needs and work with colleagues at various levels of experience and location
  • Knowledge of various CMS platforms is a plus
