Play in School project is a project under the Playright Association, to promote and support teaching staff to maintain regular free playtime in early childhood education settings. The roles and functions of a Play Officer are :
To empower child-related professionals to develop free playtime in early childhood education settings, including special child care centers.
To demonstrate the conducting of free playtime by organizing and implementing free play programs to teachers at schools / centres..
To coordinate with school heads/centre-in-charges who are interested in running free playtime program, to support and ensure the effectiveness of project implementation.
Degree holder, preferably in Playwork, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education or child related disciplines.
Two years working experience in training /project management is preferred.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated and can work independently.
Have passion in working with children and charity sector.
Working on weekends and public holidays is occasionally required.
