Hang Seng's Transformation under Operations, Services and Technology is a team of professionals dedicated to deliver change initiatives for the Bank and various business functions.

The team focuses on driving four types of changes: (1) High Priority Programmes - Programmes to achieve Group strategy or to support market competitive advantage; (2) Significant Change Programmes - Programmes that involve significant cost, benefit or risk impact across multiple businesses/ functions; (3) Complex Regulatory Changes - Programmes to meet Global or Regional regulatory commitments, such that Global Standard; (4) Transactions - M&A, disposals etc, where applicable.

In addition, the team will lead or take part in various projects to drive cost-efficiency and control-improvement in systems, products, services and processes for specific businesses or functions. Transformation's service covers Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Macau.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our PMO team as PMO Manager.

Should you join our PMO office, you will be trained to become an all-round department level analyst on portfolio, budget and resource management. You will be familiar with programme and project governance tools and be trained as the advocate to ensure the Bank drives changes with adherence to proper governance and change management.

 

Principal responsibilities:

  • To run the Programme Management Office (PMO) to provide management reporting on portfolio related information.
  • Provides robust data analysis about resource utilisation and performance
  • Facilitate the resource demand and supply management process by forecasting and managing demand via the Order Book
  • Provide support to project managers on standardized programme/ project management tools and project governance to ensure compliance with Group requirements
  • To act as the key communication channel amongst Transformation units, supporting internal communication within the department and external communication with IT, Group Transformation, and Business Transformation
  • Responsible for planning and monitoring of department budget

 

Requirements

  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of Project Portfolio Management concepts as well as Portfolio PMO processes and methods, project management tools and processes
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in PMO, strategic planning, change management, or project management
  • With strong numeric sense and attention to details.  Banking or finance knowledge will be an advantage
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to deal with multiples stakeholders within the Bank
  • Self-driven, with the ability to solve problems. Conceptual and analytical capabilities to deal with ambiguities
  • Being proactive, innovative, with good communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
