Post Trade Chapter Manager for Prime Services (PRM) Asia

The position is within the Information Technologies department (ITEC) of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB) division. The successful candidate will be joining ITEC Prime Services (PRM) team in Asia. This team is responsible for developing and supporting all technical platforms used by OPER/MARK Prime Services and other Agency business lines.


Based in Hong Kong, the Post Trade Chapter manager (CM) oversees several key functions within ITEC department to enable high-quality service delivery for end users, ensure that post trade development cross asset in the ASIA region are aligned to the global strategy. This senior position requires to build trust and strengthen relationship with OPER/MARK stakeholders locally and globally. The CM contributes to the definition of a coherent long-term strategy on the different business chain, managing business/support functions expectations and driving ITEC/GTS team(s) to achieve all our objectives.


Main responsibilities

Build vision and strategy
  • Build a long-term vision consistent with tribes needs
  • Build a value proposal with expected benefits
  • Build an implementation strategy and a related backlog
  • Communicate and support vision to stakeholders
Help development teams on achieving its objectives
  • Build and prioritize backlog items with members
  • Follow and report progress of backlog execution
  • Monitor coherency of execution
  • Facilitate interaction with other ITEC/GTS teams
Foster skills development and knowledge sharing
  • Develop a high level of expertise aligned with the vision
  • Ensures the development team works collectively with autonomy and initiative
  • Create an inspiring work environment to foster innovation


Skills required

This CM position is a senior “expert" position, requiring strong functional knowledge on Post Trade processing and clear understanding of ITEC/GTS organization (not limited to PRM dedicated systems) to engage the right people and communicate effectively with all Asian senior stakeholders.
  • Business chain Expertise cross asset
  • Technical expertise on the existing processing & applications
  • Good understanding of all transversal processes/services and key dependencies (vendors, infrastructure, payment chain, client reporting, …)
  • Good understanding of the global strategy & direction
  • Precise communication, ability to interact with senior managers, external clients
  • Experience in Customer relationship management
  • Knowledge of Apac markets, main regulatory frameworks (eg SFC, MAS guidelines, HST in Japan)
  • Capacity to influence other departments and lead transformation
  • High level of autonomy, capacity to make decisions, strong sense of ownership regardless of organizational constraints
