been serving in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and pharmacies in Hong Kong
for over 20 years.

Position Description:
Procurement specialist is responsible for supporting supplier management and evaluation in order to find the best deals possible that are needed for business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions.
  • Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization.
  • Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.
  • Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time.
  • Checks invoices for accuracy and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment on-time.
  • Evaluates the performance of certain vendors in order to decide whether or not to continue buying from them.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, contacts, and pre-qualifications lists.
  • Manage change control projects.
  • Assist in managing tenders.
  • Maintain procurement database/files/reports in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. 

Procurement Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms.
  • Possesses strong negotiation, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin (German is a plus).
  • Experience in complex multinational environment considered a plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Engage with colleagues, listen, help others to achieve and to win as team across functions.
  • Promote a trustful and respectful work environment by being open-minded, empathetic, welcoming and respectful to colleagues; Give and receive constructive feedback regularly.
  • Immediate available is highly preferred.
