Product Design Manager

Responsibilities:

• Report to Engineering Director.
• Product research and analysis – evaluate trends and consumer insights to identify new play experiences.
• Idea generation and concept design - following up concept sketching and eventual rendering (including control drawing, material, and color specifications).
• Monitoring of sculpture and model making – work with sculptors and model shops to create aesthetic and functional models.
• Definition of product features through written documents, diagrams and use of cutting edge technologies.
• 2D and 3D presentations for internal approval purposes.
• Management of product design throughout the development process.
• Collaboration with communication with internal departments and external vendors.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Design or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years solid experience in product development and management, mainly in diecast and/or RC toys.
• Proficiency in 2D design Software (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of 3D software is preferable (Pro-E, FreeForm, Solidworks, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects independently.
• Familiar with manufacturing skill and management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English & Mandarin.
• Frequency travel to China.
