Product Management Executive

Reporting to Director, Business & Product Propositions, this role exists to assist managers to manage the product shelf.

The key result indicators for this role are: 

  • Timely completion of tasks with high level of accuracy
  • The key deliverables include Transware, product comparisons, product analytics
  • He/she will be heavily involved in compilation of product proposal, policy contract, client / broker facing product materials, post-launch analysis report, etc.

 Core Responsibilities

  • Performs an on-going support of Transware revision – evaluation, user requirements, test plans and UAT
  • Works closely with Actuarial and IT on product matters
  • Supports the compilation of documentation in the product development process, from concept building to post-launch analysis
  • Conducts product comparisons on regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Assist managers to maintain the product shelf, such as, updating of product materials and contract provisions
  • Supports Sales & Distribution on product queries
  • Other ad-hoc projects

 Required Qualifications

  • Degree holder in any discipline
  • Background of Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance or related discipline is an advantage
  • At least 2 years of working experience within which at least 1-year is related to life insurance product
  • Life insurance product knowledge
  • Experience in Systems conversant (the position will need to work closely with IT and Operations)
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel (e.g. create formulas, pivot tables) for compilation of various documentations, presentations and analysis
  • Attention to details – able to consider all areas involved, show concern for all aspects of the job, accurately check processes and tasks, etc.
  • Disciplined and self-organised – able to identify and establish priorities of tasks and adjust them where appropriate
  • Contributing to team success – actively participate as a member of a team to contribute toward the completion of goals

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Financial aptitude – ability to interpret financial and numeric information to contribute to making sound business judgment
  • Energy – consistently maintains high levels of activity or productivity
  • Customer focus – actively seeks to understand the TLB target customer segment and making customers and their needs a primary focus
