HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Proposition Head, Pensions.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Lead the Product Proposition Team under HSBC Pensions in Hong Kong WPB

  • Help to form pension product related strategy to fit the needs of the evolvement of the market such as to ensure the competitiveness of the pensions products, post retirement proposition and etc

  • Lead and drive the product development, review, and enhancement of the ORSO and MPF products of the Pension business of HSBC, and execution of those product changes

  • Lead and execute statutory-related product changes in Pensions

  • Lead the maintenance of product-related customer materials

  • Ensure Pension product offering and strategy are consistent and in line with the WPB proposition

  • Help the members of the team to build additional / different skillset to fit into the objectives / positioning of the pensions team

  • Liaison with key stakeholders of pension offering, including INHK, Trustees, Administrator, Investment managers, Sales & Servicing team, etc. to ensure that pension projects are delivered effectively

  • Manage AOP and ATP resources within the scope of the team


  • Excellent skills in working with regulators and government bureau

  • Over 10 years of experience in the pension, wealth management or insurance industry at a management level

  • Strong interpersonal, communication (especially written skill) and influencing skills to interact with senior management and subordinates, internal and external stakeholders at all level

  • Ability to pay attention to details, especially those in relation to product implementation timeline and associated risks (including regulatory risks)

  • Strong business acumen with ability to build high level business objectives into the team’s specific goals
